Achievements Of China'S Agricultural Development In The 60 Years Since The Founding Of New China

On the 60 year development achievements of China's agriculture, it was noted that since the founding of new China, especially since the reform and opening up, great changes have taken place in agricultural and rural areas, and agricultural and rural development has achieved six historic leaps.
Sun Zhengcai said that it is not easy to comprehensively comb the great changes in agriculture and rural economy in the past 60 years.
Agricultural and rural economic work involves a wide range of new situations and new problems, and the span of 60 years is very large.
Looking back at the great changes in the agricultural and rural economy in the past 60 years, in my view, it is best to go to the countryside and listen to the grass-roots cadres, listen to the peasants' feelings and feel at the scene. It is better to go to the supermarket to see the dazzling agricultural products, which is more direct and vivid.
It can be seen that the dream of countless people with lofty ideals has become a reality in New China.
Since the founding of new China, especially since the reform and opening up, great changes have taken place in agricultural and rural areas. Great changes have taken place in the history of agriculture, agricultural production has continued to develop, rural economy has been flourishing, farmers' lives have improved significantly, and rural social harmony and stability have made great contributions to the overall development of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
Sun Zhengcai explained that, in short, the development of agriculture and rural areas has achieved six historic leaps: first, the supply of agricultural products has achieved a historic leap from the long-term shortage to the total balance of the main agricultural products and the surplus of the year.
Relying on our own strength, we have successfully solved the problem of eating nearly 21% of the world's population with less than 9% of the world's arable land.
The two is the way of agricultural development, which has achieved a historic leap from agricultural production to intensive production.
Three, the rural economic structure has achieved a historic leap from the primary industry to the three industry.
Four, the peasants' income has realized the historical leap of peasants' life from insufficient food and clothing to overall well-off society.
The five is the rural system and mechanism, which has realized the historical leap of the rural economic system from the self-sufficient small peasant economy to the socialist market economy.
Six, the relationship between urban and rural areas has achieved a historic leap from the two to the quickening the establishment of an urban-rural integration mechanism.
At the same time, agricultural opening to the outside world has been deepened, and a comprehensive, multi-level and wide range of agricultural opening up pattern has been gradually formed.
The objective requirement of building a well-off society and accelerating the overall situation of modernization is the basic requirement of solving the problem of "three rural issues" as the most important part of the work of the whole party, making clear the basic strategy of balancing urban and rural development, and making China's basic judgement of promoting the development of agriculture by industry and developing rural areas with urban areas as a whole. It has formulated the basic policy of industry nurturing agriculture, supporting the rural areas and giving more less to live, planning the basic task of building a new socialist countryside and developing modern agriculture; and continuously promulgated 6 Central 1 documents, and the party in the third Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee made special arrangements for promoting the reform and development of rural areas under the new situation, and formed a relatively complete guiding ideology and policy system for "three rural" work in the new era. Sun Zhengcai introduced that since the beginning of the new century, especially since the sixteen Party Congress, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Hu Jintao as the general secretary has been in line with the overall situation.
Driven by this series of major policy initiatives, the development of "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" has entered one of the best periods in history.
Since this year, despite the adverse effects of the international financial crisis and the severe drought, the agricultural and rural economy has maintained a good momentum of development. Grain and oil in the summer have been bumping into bumper harvest, and all sectors of agriculture have coordinated development and farmers' incomes have continued to grow.
Sun Zhengcai said, "agriculture is the foundation of the country and food is the food of the people."
The great achievements of agricultural and rural development have not only brought about a historic leap in the development of agriculture, rural areas and farmers, but also have great significance for the overall development of the party and the state.
The steady development of grain and other major agricultural products has laid a solid material foundation for the steady and rapid development of the national economy and coping with all kinds of challenges. The sustained growth of farmers' income has created important conditions for increasing rural consumption and expanding domestic demand; the great practice of rural reform has made a creative exploration for the establishment of a socialistic market economy system; the stability and harmony in rural areas has provided strong support for the realization of the country's long-term stability and the maintenance of overall social stability.
Sun Zhengcai finally said, "60 years of development, great achievements and heavy responsibilities.
We should always see clearly that the agricultural foundation is still weak and needs to be strengthened. Rural development is still lagging behind and needs support. Farmers' income increase is still difficult and needs to be speeded up. The imbalance between urban and rural development is still outstanding and needs the most co-ordination.
So I say that the agricultural and rural development in the new era has a long way to go.
We must persist in building a new socialist countryside as a strategic task, take the path of agricultural modernization with Chinese characteristics as the basic direction, and accelerate the formation of a new pattern of integration of urban and rural economic and social development as the fundamental requirement. We should do everything possible to ensure the national food security and effective supply of main agricultural products. This is the primary task of agricultural and rural economic work. We should do everything possible to promote the sustained growth of farmers' income. This is the central task of agricultural and rural economic work. We should promote industrialization, urbanization and agricultural modernization as well as create a new situation for agricultural and rural development, and provide an important support for the overall economic and social development.
