Ministry Of Commerce: Sudan And Egypt Sign Memorandum Of Understanding To Cooperate In The Production Of Staple Cotton

Sudan's mahgoub Oulad signed a memorandum of understanding with Egyptian cotton holding company to jointly produce short staple cotton in Sudan. Mahgoub Oulad will plant and roll Sudan cotton flowers for Egyptian companies, and the price will be determined according to the international price of each season, The memorandum also allows Egyptian holding companies to participate heavily in the financing of cotton cultivation in Sudan. Mahmoud esmart, Egyptian Minister of public commerce, who witnessed the signing ceremony, explained that the signing of the Mou was within the framework of meeting and ensuring the demand of Egyptian textile companies for staple cotton (imported from abroad). Waidi Mirghani, chairman of the board of directors of mahyub Orad group, stressed that his team was determined to work to meet part of Egypt's demand for Sudan cotton and was pleased with the joint cooperation between the two sides. He pointed out that all products using Sudan cotton would be written "Sudan cotton products".
