Ministry Of Commerce: Vietnam'S Textile And Garment Export Growth Is Expected To Exceed 11% In 2021

According to the Vietnam + website on December 7, Zhang Wenjin, vice chairman and Secretary General of Vietnam textile and Garment Association (vitas), said on December 7 that the export volume of textile and garment industry in 2021 is expected to reach 39 billion US dollars, with a year-on-year increase of 11.2% and an increase of 0.3% over 2019. In 2022, the epidemic situation around the world, including Vietnam, may still be complex and unpredictable. However, with the re opening of major markets such as the United States and the European Union (EU), Vietnam's textile and garment industry has released many positive signals.

In 2022, Vietnam textile and clothing association proposed three growth expectations: if the epidemic situation is basically controlled in the first quarter of 2022, the export volume will strive to achieve US $425-43.5 billion. If the epidemic situation is under control in 2022, the export volume will reach 40-41 billion US dollars; If the epidemic situation continues until the end of 2022, the export volume will reach 38-39 billion US dollars.
