The First Batch Of Cotton Produced According To The "Chinese Standard" Entered The Audit And Certification Link

Xinjiang cotton harvest is imminent. On September 16, the first batch of cotton produced according to the management standard of "China cotton" sustainable development project (hereinafter referred to as "China cotton" project) entered the audit and certification link in Xinjiang.

On the same day, China Cotton Association, together with zhongjinnuo certification company, launched the audit and certification work of "China cotton" project in Luntai County and Yuli County, Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. In this work, the combination of document review and on-site audit is adopted, and about 50000 mu of farms will be audited in advance.

Lu Huaiyu, head of Xinjiang Guoxin Seed Industry Co., Ltd., as one of the first batch of six production end contract signing enterprises of "China cotton" project, said that this year, more than 70000 mu of self owned breeding farms of the enterprise were produced and planted in accordance with the production and management standards of "China cotton" project, We should make improvements in reducing pollution, energy conservation and emission reduction, respecting labor and improving quality.

Li Lin, Deputy Secretary General of China Cotton Association, said that after passing the audit and certification, the lint produced by it is expected to enter the circulation and textile links as the first batch of "China's sustainable cotton", and eventually pass on to consumers through brand merchants and retailers. In the future, using and consuming sustainable cotton in the whole industry chain and creating a virtuous circle will be the key to practice the new development concept and promote the sustainable development of China's cotton industry.

In April this year, China Cotton Association issued the "China cotton" production and management norms, launched the "China cotton" sustainable development project, and explored the establishment of the first China's independent cotton standard system. Xinjiang Guoxin Seed Industry Co., Ltd. and other six large-scale backbone enterprises signed the "China cotton" sustainable development project production end cooperation agreement with China Cotton Association.
