In September 9th, Sun Ruizhe, vice president of the Federation of China Textile Industry and vice president of the International Federation of textile manufacturers, met and dined with Andrew MacDonald, a senior consultant of the Brazil Cotton Industry Association and chairman of the international spinning and weaving Committee, visiting Brazil in Beijing.

   Affected by the Sino US trade friction, Brazil cotton has significantly increased its exports to China, accounting for 24% of all cotton importing countries, ranking second. On the 5-11 th of September, the Brazil Cotton Industry Association led a delegation to visit Zhejiang, Shandong and other major cotton provinces so as to further promote the cooperation between China and Pakistan in the cotton trade.

During the meeting, Sun Ruizhe briefed him on the current industrial situation and briefly reviewed the close contacts between the two sides in the textile field in recent years. Sun Ruizhe said that the two countries' textile industry will continue to deepen their cooperation in trade, investment and other fields, and jointly promote the all-round development of bilateral cooperation.

Macdonald agreed with Sun Ruizhe's views that he attached great importance to cooperation with China's textile industry and was willing to further strengthen exchanges and strive to promote bilateral cooperation to a new level.

During the talks, the two sides also exchanged views on the next step of the International Textile Federation and reached a broad consensus.

Xu Yingxin, vice president of China Textile Federation, President of China Council for the promotion of international trade, Yuan Hongping, deputy director general of China Textile Federation and director of Foreign Affairs Office, Zhu Beina, President of China Cotton Textile Industry Association, attended the meeting.
