Xia Lingmin, vice president of China Textile Industry Federation, believes that the quickening of the layout of overseas markets by Chinese textile enterprises is the result of efficiency priority and market selection.

Xia Lingmin said that on the one hand, China's textile enterprises set up overseas processing bases as the main line of reducing labor costs, becoming a link or extension of the industrial chain; on the other hand, some enterprises seek global allocation of resources, arrange different links in different industrial chains in different countries, and build and create global competitive multinational groups.

According to the incomplete statistics of the China Federation of textile industry, by the end of 2014, there were more than 2600 textile and garment production, trade and product design enterprises set up by overseas Chinese enterprises, which were distributed in over 100 countries and regions.

China Textile Federation believes that the pace of "going out" of textile industry is accelerating since 2015.
