China Brazil Textile And Apparel Brand Exchange Forum Successfully Held

During the first GoTex international textile procurement exhibition in St Paul, Brazil, China Brazil textile and apparel brand product exchange forum was held in Brazil St Paul Anny Exhibition Center. The forum discussed the prospects of Sino Pakistan textile cooperation and industrial demand.

China textile industry Zhang Yankai, vice president of the Federation, said that the textile industry, as China's basic manufacturing industry, is an important livelihood industry and an internationally competitive industry. However, the development of industry is inseparable from the integration and cooperation with the international market. The garment industry in Brazil is relatively mature, and has a great demand for Chinese fabrics. There is great room for development from trade to cooperative production. In the face of China's huge domestic demand consumer market, the two countries have many opportunities for cooperation in clothing design, brand and market sales. Many powerful and qualified entrepreneurs in China are also considering overseas factories, and Brazil is also one of the important cooperation countries. It is hoped that the Chinese textile industry can strengthen communication with the textile industry in Brazil through this event, accurately understand the needs of the textile market of Brazil centered South American countries, eliminate the estrangement and misunderstanding between the two industries, and achieve mutually beneficial and win-win results through resource integration and complementary cooperation.

In the speech, President of the Brazil clothing association Roberto Chadad first condemned the unfriendly acts initiated by some local trade unions and organizations on the opening day of the St Paul Go Tex international textile procurement exhibition in Brazil. He believes that the imbalance between China and Pakistan textile and garment trade should not be borne by Chinese enterprises. Brazil's garment industry is precisely because of the import of a large number of Chinese sewing equipment, the use of high-quality fabrics in China, for the Brazil textile industry has created a large number of employment opportunities. Textile industry is one of the traditional industries in Brazil, and occupies an important proportion in the fields of national economy, labor and employment. In recent years, the external trade deficit of Brazil's textile and clothing has increased, and the international competitiveness of Brazil's textile industry has been decreasing. It is hoped that Brazil enterprises can reflect on themselves, thus promoting their own industrial structure adjustment and upgrading. China textile Wang Yu, vice president of import and Export Chamber of Commerce, believes that Brazil textile industry has a relatively complete industrial chain, both raw material industry, textile industry and finished product industry have their own advantages. Among them, clothing, home textiles and other finished products processing industry, regardless of the total number of enterprises engaged in processing, employment or output value, can be called the main body of the industry. The organization of Chinese enterprises to participate in St Paul GoTex international textile and apparel Procurement Exhibition, the purpose is to achieve the perfect docking with Brazil's industry.

China is the largest importer of textiles and clothing in Brazil, and Brazil ranks nineteenth in the Chinese export market. In 2008~2012, bilateral textile and garment trade expanded by 1.3 times. At the same time, Brazil is the main source of China's cotton imports. In recent years, cotton imports from Brazil have increased continuously, increasing by 14.1 times in 5 years. The two industries complement each other and have room for further cooperation and development. Although Brazil's exports to China are not large, its growth is huge, and Brazil products have distinctive characteristics and have great potential for development in the Chinese market. China's export to Brazil also needs to be further refined and better suited to Brazil's industry and market demand, so as to achieve long term complementarity and win-win cooperation.

The forum will last 2 days, attended by nearly 100 textile industry representatives from China and Brazil. From Ecotex Institute, Lan Jing group and other 6 industry designers, they discussed the theme of "sustainable development of clothing concept" and "sustainable development of pulp fiber in textile industry" respectively.
