The conference released the 2010~2011 annual report on China's e-commerce development.

It is reported that China's Ministry of Commerce has published "China's e-commerce development report" for 5 consecutive times since 2003.

The report predicts that China will become the world's largest in 2013.

The total volume of pactions amounted to 5 trillion and 880 billion yuan, an increase of 29.2% over the previous year, equivalent to 12.5% of the gross domestic product of the year. The volume of electronic pactions of industrial enterprises is expected to reach 1 trillion and 690 billion yuan in 2012, up 19.1% over the same period last year. E-commerce pactions for SMEs reached 3 trillion and 210 billion yuan, a 26.9% increase in the same proportion.


Li Jinqi, director of the Ministry of Commerce and information technology of the Ministry of Commerce, said that China's e-commerce has three characteristics.

First of all, the role of China's e-commerce in stimulating consumption is obvious.

By the end of 2011, China's online shopping users reached 119 million people, the utilization rate of network applications reached 37.8%, the total retail sales reached 782 billion 560 million yuan, an increase of 53.7% over the same period last year, and the total retail sales accounted for 4.32% of the total social retail sales.


Second, the application of e-commerce is becoming more and more popular.

It is reported that China's large enterprises have been widely used in e-commerce, online bidding procurement and online marketing have been achieved.

In addition, the proportion of SMEs in China's e-commerce has exceeded 40%.


Thirdly, e-commerce has also promoted the rapid development of modern service industry.

By the end of 2011, the number of enterprises providing e-commerce information has exceeded 15, and the income of e-commerce services has reached 120 billion yuan.
