NASA'S Antarctic Test Spacesuit Mars: Cost $100 Thousand
In an uninhabited Antarctica, an astronaut wearing a new spacesuit is undergoing wind tests at temperatures of nearly 50 miles per hour.
It is reported that a team of NASA is testing the latest design of spacesuit NDX1 at the Ma Lan Biot inspection station in Antarctica, Argentina, where the environment is similar to Mars, preparing for possible future red planet tours.
The $100 thousand NDX1 spacesuit is designed by Padero de Leon, an aerospace engineer. NDX1 includes helmets and built-in headphones to communicate with the outside. It can withstand severe cold and test winds of nearly 80 kilometers per hour. In future Mars exploration, astronauts are expected to wear this.
