KS Authentication

KS is the abbreviation of Korean Industrial Standards/ Korea industry standard. In order to consolidate the country's product base, improve the quality and efficiency of industrial products, promote the standardization and impartiality of economic exchanges, and enhance competitiveness and protect consumers' rights and interests, South Korea has formulated the "Korean industrial standard" according to the fourth item of the industrial standardization law.
The KS standard is implemented by Korean Standards Association (KSA). The Korea standards association is an authoritative and standardized institution supported and established by the Korean government. The business of KSA can be divided into two categories. One is the formulation and implementation of KS standard for Korean industrial products, and is responsible for the promotion and certification of the standard. The second is the promotion and research of quality management activities and the consultation and certification of ISO9000.
The KS certification system is based on the Korean industrial standard for product inspection and on-site inspection. After passing, the manufacturer will issue a certificate to the manufacturer, and the manufacturer can attach the KS mark to its product. The KS logo indicates that the product meets the requirements of the Korean industrial standard, and the manufacturer has or surpassed the manufacturing capacity stipulated by the Korean industrial standard.
South Korea has implemented the KS standard certification system since 1960, and once every five years, it deliberated whether the specification was suitable or not, and decided whether it should be amended or abolished. If the factory wishes to maintain KS certification, it should be inspected by the certification authority every five years. If it does not accept the inspection, it will be revoked.

The KS standard includes 16 types of industrial information, which can be divided into 3 parts.
Product standard: stipulate the improvement, size and quality of products.
Method standard: stipulate test, analysis, inspection and measurement methods, operation standards, etc.
Information standards: stipulate terms, technologies, components, grades, etc.
