Fashion Design: Technology Breaks Through Fashion Limits
Here is the future of fashion
Through what I saw and heard at the exhibition recently, I found that the potential of the fashion industry is really inspiring and inspiring. It is very inspiring to have a center for discussion, experiment and exploration in the field of fashion. I am very excited that a large number of international products, materials and services are constantly breaking the boundaries of fashion, function and innovation. Please read on for more exciting content.
Innovative technology
The appearance of robot models really reminds us that the future has come. Euveka's robot model Emineo is the next generation technology with perfect fit. Euveka pairs simple and intuitive software with bionic manikin, simplifying the design process from initial sketching to production. In order to make prototype development more efficient, it is only necessary to click to instruct the shape to change size. You can control it as a whole or by region, so that the manikin conforms to the specific body proportions of the end user.
Emineo not only improved the product development process, but also improved the product itself. Designers can easily create clothes in sizes A to E, which reminds us that vision and innovation can make our industry more inclusive.
Another innovation to improve consumer experience is Verisium's customer participation and product certification, which is a B2C platform for luxury brands. Verisium embeds NFC chips in clothing and registers each product in Blockchain for anti piracy protection. This not only helps brands protect intellectual property rights and prevent the production and sale of counterfeit products, but also creates a new way of real-time communication with customers. Brand content can be easily updated and pushed to the NFC chip, ultimately making the product itself a portal for brand participation.
Smart materials
There are many new intelligent material solutions under development, two of which I am most impressed with: Ecotec and PYRATES. Both have proposed an expanded definition of "intelligence", challenging us as designers and consumers to think differently about how we interact with the environment.
Ecotec transforms pre use cuts (e.g., production waste from knitting and knitting companies) into novel and beautiful yarns. Ecotec yarn can not only reduce costs, but also reduce the impact on the environment. Compared with similar products made of pure materials, Ecotec's LCA (life cycle assessment, certified by ICEA) is better:
-Greenhouse effect reduced by 56.3%
-Energy saving up to 56.6%
-Water consumption reduced by 77.9% in the whole process
PYRATES also explores the relationship between material innovation and the natural environment. Their PYRATEX ® Textiles are advertised as armor against toxic pollutants around us, which can help consumers take better care of themselves. PYRATEX is used in cosmetics and health applications. It can inject antioxidants, proteins and amino acids from "cocktails" into textiles to detoxify, moisturize and rejuvenate the skin (cosmetics), soothe the body and strengthen the immune system (health). In this case, smart materials can also help consumers improve their awareness of environmental hazards and provide them with ways to protect themselves.
Innovative resources
In addition to introducing advanced products and materials, the company also focuses on creating a collaborative ecosystem - building new innovation capabilities globally.
UpTex, headquartered in France, is a highly competitive group consisting of 180 experts from various fields of the textile industry. Its mission is to help members embark on the road of textile innovation. UpTex connects companies and organizations with universities and R&D institutions, devotes itself to establishing strategic partnerships and providing funds for innovation cooperation, and ultimately positions its region as a place suitable for investment and innovation.
C.L.A.S.S. (Creative Lifestyle and Sustainable Collaboration) from Milan is a global resource for smart material innovation, providing four ways to participate in its platform: consulting, visiting material centers, educational programs and e-commerce. Young designers looking for resources can take advantage of e-commerce. The more digital solutions, the easier it is for small businesses, start-ups and students to get the best material innovation.
conceptual design
Think about the future without limit, and be based on reality at the same time. Today's designers are using future oriented materials to re conceive the relationship between society, body and performance. From flexible stone electroplating and muskin (mushroom leather), to concrete lace and polsensorfolie (visual magnetic reaction materials), many people use materials to state what we wear and how we wear them.
Future innovation will not only focus on the development of new materials, technical capabilities and products. It will also change how we view the relationship with new environments, global platforms and product creation, as well as the traditional definition of performance. Soon, we will see how new considerations such as artistic expression, understanding and empathy become part of our fashion framework.
